• Academician V. N. Melnichenko visiting the ICF «Jewish Hesed «Bnei Azriel»

Now do you know what iodate group is? Maybe you know what the different types of iodine are, and how good are they for human health? Don't know, have not heard, not informed – it's not strange at all, because such information is owned only by specialists, and they do not hurry to share it. Indeed, we do need to know about it, it is important and useful, especially at an advanced age. This is precisely why the ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" organized a lecture for its wards with one of the leading experts in this field – professor, doctor of science, academician of the Ukrainian technological Academy Vasyl Nikolaevich Melnichenko.

It turns out that iodine is an indispensable, extremely important and very complex element, without which it is impossible to keep a full, healthy human life. The respected lecturer told the audience – the Jews of Kiev and Kiev region - about the benefits and harm of iodine, about the peculiarities of assimilability of this important element and, most importantly, what kind of iodine is useful and what is dangerous for our organism. Yes, you read it right: there is helpful iodine, sometimes neutral, and sometimes dangerous. And the wards of Kiev Hesed now know exactly how to balance their diet, what supplements to use and what to steer away from, in order to live a long, active life and improve their health.

Vasily Nikolayevich's lecture aroused genuine interest among the audience and gradually the speech turned into a discussion, during which a lot of questions were asked and the same number of comprehensive, understandable and useful answers were received. And this was the main indicator of success of the event, because to find a professional ready to explain clearly and understandably is at times as difficult as to gather a worthy audience who wants to learn something new and acquire useful skills. We in the ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" has once again managed to perform this task effectively, and we thank all the participants for attending! See you in the club of Hesed, dear friends!
