• Our guest is a legend of the Kiev bard song Valery Vinarsky


    timthumbVVtOur club regularly holds creative meetings with popular figures of culture and art. Guests of the Fund over the past year were the composer Alexander Zlotnik and artist Matvey Vaisberg, Ada Rogovtseva and Ostap Stupka. But the last week has pleased our audience with the meeting with legendary Kiev poet and bard Valery Vinarsky.

    Live classic of the author song (cotemporary of Vysotsky!), whose songs were played in the movies of 60-ies, the poet and writer, Vinarsky is known primarily as a modern landmark of the famous Andriyivsky descent. Our Montmartre is impossible to imagine without this impressive silver haired man in the last 20 years. Maestro of poetic improvisation surprises locals and tourists, instantly calling from memory his own author’s poetic lines in response to any word spoken.

    The game is very exciting: often around him gather flocks of passers-by, competing with him in turn. They tell him the word (trying to find tricky one), he immediately replies with the verses from his ultimate fund.  To upstage the man called "the literary encyclopedia" is possible to very few – almost always it ends with a surrender and applause in his address.

    For example, you said "a woman", and Vinarsky immediately responds:

    There are women serious

    There are she-devil ones.

    Besides appreciating first

    We get to marry second.

    Call for example "the hypotenuse" or "emancipation" — Vinarsky has the answer for everything: ironic or philosophically meaningful poetry. At the same time Valery Abramovich is the author of several thousand(!) songs, each of which is brighter than the previous. They have everything - from the lyrics to satire, ironic sketches and philosophical passages...

    At creative evening in the "Bnei Azriel" Club Maestro not only sang songs and recited poems – the audience were impressed with videos of Vinarsky’ participation in the show "Make the comedian laugh" (Kiev original has completely changed the rules of the game in the show and stumped V. Zelensky and M. Galustian), film clip of 60-ies, in which Tamara Miansarova sings the song of Vinarsky, and a modern clip with 14-year-old Alice Nikonova, also performing the hit of Maestro.

    Buoyancy, performing professionalism, phenomenal memory of this 77-year-old man has lifted the spirits of our wards, demonstrating that optimism and a positive attitude to life can work wonders.
