• Funny creative works of Anna Tsukanova: a master class for the clients with impaired hearing and speech was held

    No matter how the commercials praise beauty of the finished toys, and we tried before the holidays to come up with gift ideas, but a nice thing made with your own hands, remains a favorite pleasant surprise for family and friends! This was proved again at a master-class on felting toys, which was conducted by popular Ukrainian craftswoman Anna Tsukanova for the clients with impaired hearing and speech of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel".

    Initially, the wards were questioning Anna about the country of origin of felt and wool, the price of a ready toy, how much time is spent to create a toy... And could not believe that within 2-3 hours they will have a real toy on their tables instead of pieces of felt and wool! The toy, looking exactly the same as the coach brought!

    However, within the hour each of the participants made the torso of a bee toy, and by the end of the second hour on the face of this wonderful toy was a beaming smile and small eyes shone with enthusiasm! It is noteworthy that each of the "masters" created his unique bee! Joy of the participants was limitless when they found out that they can take their toys home. Nobody would want to part with his new friend that was just born thanks to the talent and perseverance of our "masters".

    We would particularly like to note the surprising fact that during the creative process the participants were able quite often to communicate without the help of a sign language interpreter with Anna and her assistants. The master and students quickly found a common language that allowed using signs and facial expressions to understand the teachings of the master and to participate actively in the group discussion of the nuances of the process of felting.

    At the end of class the friendly team of craftsmen asked to continue the art lessons. Wards also expressed the appreciation of ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" for new directions in the organization of the club for clients with problems of hearing and speech - intellectual classes, virtual travels around the world, creative workshops and others, which allow us to eliminate social isolation of people with limited abilities.

    We also hope that we will have more new partners among creative people, whose hearts burn with the desire to help. And we, in turn, will provide this opportunity on the basis of the ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel". We are waiting for you, dear friends!
