• «Magic shofar» sounded for hundreds of wards of ICF «Jewish Hesed «Bnei Azriel»

    Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, holds a special place in the life of every Jew. It is the kindest and sweetest holiday. The celebration of hope in the mercy of G-d, for the entry in the Book, prosperity in the coming year. It is traditional on this feast to blow the shofar, symbolizing the judgment, because on this day everything that will happen to us in the coming year is recorded in the Book!

    And therefore the gala concert dedicated to the Rosh Hashanah, which is prepared by ICF "Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" for its wards was named in honor of this ancient symbol – the "Magic shofar".

    The concert, which audience was the wards and honored guests, has been held in the center of Kiev. Before the concert, all attendees had the chance to buy unique Hand Made products, made by the gifted hands of Hesed artisans. They included the interior design items, devoted to Jewish themes, the jewelry, and cute stuff so dear to the womens’ hearts. The diversity and riches of items presented at the charity fair admired and pleased the eye! But as soon as the third call has sounded, the guests filled the hall...

    Like amber honey falling over the slices of juicy apple rolled out the songs performed by the duet "Nigun" with the participation of great musicians of "Kiev Hesed Klezmer Band". A particularly nice new year gifts became the well-known compositions which sounded in the brilliant performance of the honored artist of Ukraine Ivan Krasovskiy, the honored artist of Ukraine Mikhail Poloz and singer Shir Yesim. This day the voices of the popular and beloved singers shone with unmatched beauty and perfection like ruby pomegranate seeds on a sparkling silver platter! But then the lights turned off...and from the stage to the hall rushed the immortal melodies of the Jewish songs, performed by a talented violinist Felix Schuster. And the ensemble "Smayliki", which is composed of professional singers and amateurs, caused a flurry of applause by its original and sincere performance.

    Lively dances performed by the artists of the ensemble "Tim Dance" and "Le Chaim" won the hearts of the spectators not less than the great songs. The memorable performance of children's dance ensemble "Kashtanchiki" was met by a vehement cheering. Many guests found it very hard to sit still at a time when from the scene sounded the rhythms of Jewish, pop and classical dances!

    Brilliant organization of the concert during which the audience had an incredibly positive emotions and felt the spirit of this great Jewish holiday, perfectly prepared concerted numbers, sincerity, warmth, high performing culture, colorful costumes and bright decorations – all this caused the most vivid emotions, delight and roars of applause of 700 spectators!
