Tea with the Rabbi: Alexander Dukhovny in the ICF «Jewish Hesed «Bnei Azriel»

«One of the most important genetic advances of the Jewish people is optimism!».

Are you wise? Are you rich? Are you respected? Are you satisfied with life? - with these questions began the meeting Alexander Dukhovny, the leader of the Religious Association of communities of progressive Judaism of Ukraine, chief Rabbi of Kiev and Ukraine of progressive Judaism communities.

Such simple and uncomplicated at the first sight questions of the Rabbi stirred up and enlivened the audience. For only a few minutes, the wards of ICF «Jewish Hesed «Bnei Azriel» were silently pondering questions of the guest, and then there was a lively discussion with a distinguished Rabbi.

What did the attendees talk about? Well, a little of everything – about children and grandchildren, about hopes and disappointments, about life, love, youth, tasty food and love of country, care and gratitude. And in the end it turned out that all this can be summarized with simple but very profound concept: «Osim Chaim» – the enjoyment of life. After all, everything that man does is living his life and if he is able to enjoy one moment, he is capable to enjoy life, and that is a great happiness!

Thuswise, just a few simple questions from the Rabbi raised a lot of very important topics in the life of Hesed wards. Members of the tea party received a wonderful boost of positivity and optimism and got to know that sometimes the miracles around us are so tiny that we don't even notice them...

And we, who believe in miracles, are waiting with inspiration for the next tea parties, and are pleased to invite the wards of ICF «Jewish Hesed «Bnei Azriel» – the Jews of Kiev and Kiev region – to participate in the next meetings!
