• We are waiting for creative and talented people!

Various activities and projects of the Center for Community and Cultural Mass Work of the ICF Jewish Hesed "Bnei Azriel" are aimed, first of all, at preventing social isolation of the fund's wards, stimulating their creativity and preserving mental health. For many years in a row, creative studios and circles where craftswomen make fantastic, heart-warming things.

Today, despite the war, the needlework group continues its work under the leadership of the young, talented Hanna Ryzhenko. Those who love to create and want to learn new, interesting approaches to creating attractive interior items or decorations gather every week. We asked the needlewomen about their thoughts on participating in the circle and this is what they told us.

"Until now, I didn't do needlework, there was no time... work, family... Upon retirement, I became a ward of the foundation and started attending a needlework circle. It's very interesting here! I'm learning new things, I have a new circle communication, and finger work helps me preserve my memory, which deteriorates with age," Lyubov Yu shared her experience.

Halyna V. added that she occasionally visited the meetings of the needlework circle even before the coronavirus pandemic, and now she is a regular participant and comes to the circle meetings in any weather, because here, doing creativity, she distracts herself from the troubles of today and gets a positive mood. ..

Another member of the group - Tetyana V. - emphasized that "...most of all I like a good company made up of girl participants, as well as easy, soulful communication that inspires to live on."

Of course, after such favorable reviews, we asked Hanna Ryzhenko, the head of the group, about the reasons for her choice to conduct creative classes for older women. "Such people have their own baggage of experience and emotions. It is important for them to share this with others, as well as to realize their creative self. Personally, I am interested in communicating with the participants, as we teach each other: I try to reveal new modern "secrets" of handmade, and they share their life experience and develop my outlook. I feel more confident when people of a respectable age are around and we do a good thing together. After all, beauty and creativity are the guarantee that life continues!"

The meetings of the needlework group take place in the cozy premises of the foundation, where there are all the conditions for a comfortable and safe stay of people, because we have a shelter room in case of an air alarm. All materials for creativity are provided by the foundation. Participants only need the desire and opportunity to come to us once a week! In addition, after the class, the craftswomen have time for tea, exchanging ideas and planning further interesting meetings.

We wish the needlework group further success, inspiration, and good mood! We invite everyone to join us! We are waiting for your requests by phone +38 050 315 43 62. Good luck and Victory to all!
